Administrative Internship Guidelines

These procedures will assist you as you request an administrative internship placement in
Jordan
School District.
 
 

 Administrative Internship Procedures:

  1. Those educators desiring an administrative internship must complete and return to the Human Resource Department, the Administrative Internship Request Form, which includes the signature of their University Administrative Intern Advisor.  This does not include LPP Interns or those interns placed by and receiving pay through the district.

  2. The Executive Director of Human Resources, in collaboration with the school principal will make all administrative internship placements.  Administrative Internship Placements are not to be made by the prospective intern.

  3. The Human Resource Department will notify the prospective intern in writing, with an APPROVED Administrative Intern Placement Schedule. A copy of this schedule will be forwarded to the supervising principal.

 

It is also imperative that administrative interns be informed of the following conditions of their internship:

·         administrative internship hours must be completed “off contract time or outside their regular school assignment,” if interns are current employees of Jordan School District .

·         administrative internships should broaden an intern’s administrative experience; therefore, placements at their current school location are highly unlikely.

·         supervising principals will submit to the Human Resource Department performance evaluations for each intern they supervise once the interns have completed their internship hours at that school location.
