Assistant Coach Application Process
Jordan School District has created a new process for assistant coaches and advisors to apply and be considered for any assistant coaching position within the district. Anyone interested in being an assistant coach must first visit the Human Resource department to complete an application. Applicants must select which sport/activity(s) they are interested in coaching and which school(s) they would like to work at. Those applicants who are not current full time licensed or classified employees must also have their fingerprints processed. There is a fingerprint fee that must be paid by the applicant. To be eligible to work for the district, the applicant must have a clear criminal record.
When a position becomes available, the schools will contact our office for a list of those who have applied and are qualified for available coaching positions. The schools are responsible to select the candidate that most closely meets their staffing needs.
If an applicant is selected to be an assistant coach, they must then provide all new hire paperwork to the Human Resource department. Once all paperwork is received, the applicant will be given a blue sheet which they must deliver to the school before they begin coaching.
