USOE Licensure & NCLB HQ Guidelines
  

 

All teachers, as a condition of their employment, must meet requirements to be USOE and NCLB Qualified.

USOE LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

If a teacher is not USOE qualified, the teacher must submit to the Teacher Recruitment Center the appropriate form documenting how they will meet USOE Licensure requirements.

NCLB HIGHLY QUALIFIED REQUIREMENTS

If a teacher is not NCLB Highly Qualified, the teacher must submit to the Teacher Recruitment Center the appropriate form documenting how they will meet NCLB HQ requirements:

UPGRADING USOE LEVEL 2 LICENSE

To upgrade to a Level 2 license, JSD teachers must have:

  • worked with a trained mentor for three years,
  • completed six successful JPAS evaluations,
  • completed an EYE portfolio review with their principal,
  • completed the PRAXIS II Principles of Learning and Teaching test with a score of 160 or higher.

The teacher must complete/submit the Recommendation to Upgrade to a Level 2 License form, and check in the amount of $65.00 written to USOE, to the Teacher Recruitment Center no later than May 1st of the year the license expires.

RENEWING USOE LEVEL 2 OR 3 LICENSE
