ELIGIBILITY:
- Be enrolled in a university administrative and/or leadership program
STEP 1: Complete Unpaid Administrative Internship application: https://www.applitrack.com/jordandistrict/onlineapp/
STEP 2: Placement Processing. Human Resources, in collaboration with the school principal and/or Administrator of Schools, will make all unpaid administrative internship assignments.
Placement Notification: Human Resources will notify the prospective unpaid administrative intern via email, with an official and approved unpaid administrative internship placement assignment. It will be the responsibility of the applicant to contact the assigned principal for scheduling and assignments.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Administrative Internship placements made by the prospective intern may not be honored.
- Unpaid Administrative Internship placements will not be made at the educator’s current school location
- Unpaid administrative internship hours must be completed during off contract time or outside regular school assignments.
- Prospective interns from outside of Jordan, must complete a BCI background check, which will allow JSD to receive a BCI report, prior to being assigned a placement.
- Fingerprinting is available by appointment only. The scheduling link will be provided via email after your application is submitted. Currently, there is no cost for a background check and applicants will be required to show a Government issued photo ID at the appointment.

ELIGIBILITY:

- In the application you are required to provide 3 references, which must meet the following criteria:
- Current Administrative Supervisor
- 2nd Administrator with whom you have worked with in the last 5 years
- A professional reference with whom you have worked with in the last 5 years
- Your application will not be processed until all 3 required references are completed and returned.
- All your references will receive an email from Mailbot@applitrack.com requesting they complete our Administrative Reference Form on your behalf. It is important you personally notify them to complete and submit the Administrative Refence Form ASAP.
- The video portion of the application is required. Please make certain links can be viewed by anyone who has the link.
STEP 2: Invitation to Interview. Administrative Internship applicants may be invited to an interview in January or March. This is a mandatory, in-person interview with the Administrative Cabinet. These interviews will be held on a Monday or Friday to accommodate travel plans for any out of state applicants.
Offer and Placement of Successful Candidates: These notifications will be made by phone from a member of the Administrative Cabinet. Candidates who receive a 1-year internship assignment will be invited to apply for and be interview in May/November for the Administrative Pool.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Administrative Internships are intended to be a one-year placement
- Administrative Internships are a 187-day contract on the Teacher Salary Schedule
- Elementary placements receive 20 additional days
- Secondary placements receive 10 additional days
- Internal JSD candidates chosen as a intern will have the right to return to a licensed position for which they are qualified at the conclusion of their intern year if not selected for an Administrative placement.

- Following STEP 1 of the application process, applicants will receive an email notification indicating whether or not the applicant will move to STEP 2 of the administrative pool application process. Applicants not moving to STEP 2 may reapply during the next school year. See details of STEP 2 below.
STEP 2: Invitation to Interview. Administrative Pool candidates may be invited to a interview in November, January, March, or April depending on the completion window of their application. This is a mandatory, in-person interview with the Administrative Cabinet. These interviews will be held on a Monday or Friday to accommodate travel plans for any out of state applicants.
OPTIONAL STEP 3: Additional Screening. Administrative Pool applicants may be scheduled for a 20-minute situational presentation based on a specific topic determined by the Administrative Cabinet. At the discretion of the Administrative Cabinet, STEP 3 may be completed in person or virtually.
Offer and Placement of Successful Candidates: Following STEP 2 or 3 of the selection process, a candidate may be accepted into the Administrative Pool. These notifications will be made by phone from a member of the Administrative Cabinet. Accepted candidates will remain in the Administrative Pool for two-years and then must reapply.

ELIGIBILITY:
- Must be a current director, consultant, or assistant principal
- Have not been interviewed for a Principal position in the last four years
Current JSD administrators serving as director, consultant or assistant principal are eligible for principal assignment consideration at any time, however Cabinet will conduct an optional interest interview every four years for current administrators in the District.
