Volunteers & Coaches

Volunteer With Jordan School District

Thank you for supporting our students and schools!

Our simple online process makes it easy to get started.

1. Apply Online

Complete the online volunteer application.

Select the school or schools where you would like to volunteer.

2. School Review

Your selected school will review your application and determine whether your
volunteer role requires supervised or unsupervised
access to students.

Supervised Access:
You will always be supervised by school staff.

Unsupervised Access:
You may be alone with students or supervise students without a district employee present.

3. HR Review

Human Resources will review your application.

If your role includes unsupervised access, you must:

  • Watch the Code of Conduct video.
  • Electronically sign to acknowledge that you have read and understand the
    Code of Conduct.

If you already have an approved background check on file, additional
fingerprinting may not be required.

4. Fingerprinting, If Required

If fingerprinting is required:

  • You will receive instructions to schedule an appointment.
  • Attend your appointment with a valid photo ID.
  • HR will process your background check once results are received.

5. You're Approved!

Once your application has been approved:

  • You will receive a notification through Frontline.
  • Your school will also be notified.

You may begin volunteering after receiving your approval.

Applications Must Be Completed Annually

All volunteer applications must be renewed every school year.

Coaches

Anyone interested in being an assistant coach must first complete an online application. Applicants must select which sport/activity(s) they are interested in coaching and which school(s) they would like to work at.

When a position becomes available, the school administration will view online applications, conduct interviews, and select the candidate that most closely meets their staffing needs.
If an applicant is selected to be an assistant coach, they must attend an Onboarding Appointment. All new employee paperwork will be completed online through Skyward Employee Access.  An applicant must complete and pass a background check. Once all information is complete the school will be notified if/when the coach is eligible to begin working.
